Inspiration

Introduction of the Strat-o-bucker pickups, invented, designed and hand made by Alex of Zachary Guitars.

Soon to be copied (STOLEN) by every pickup manufacturer, who will lie and claim it as their own.

Don't ever forget where you saw it first and who invented it; Alex of Zachary Guitars.

This guitar is unique for several reasons. The most notable milestone is the Strat-o-bucker pickups, the first pickup of its kind and the first Zachary guitar to have them. I built this guitar just to try out my newly invented pickup concept; the Strat-0-bucker pickup.

What makes these pickups unique and even more radical than my previous design; the Magpole-Bucker?
While the Magpole-Bucker uses two Gibson-style bobbins and is constructed largely like a traditional humbucker, the Strat-o-bucker is actually a Strat pickup on one side and a Gibson slug coil on the other side. This gives uncompromising, genuine Strat tone, since you are playing an actual Strat pickup. I repeat, you are playing an actual Strat pickup.

The Strat-o-bucker is very difficult to build and needs custom hand fabrication throughout because the coils are so dissimilar in size, while they have to be both mounted together, side by side, on    the same humbucker frame. The Strat-0-bucker pickup is built like two separate style pickups in one.

With the coil-cut switch, one can activate only the Strat coil of the Strat-o-bucker pickup, giving you a totally exact Strat tone, since you are actually playing a Stratocaster pickup. When both coils are activated by the coil switch, you get both the Strat side of the pickup and also the Gibson side of the pickup, active in humbucking mode. This gives you a traditional Gibson Humbucking tone. In this way, you get the best of both worlds, either just the genuine Strat single coil or the full Gibson humbucker, with the flick of the mini-switch.

This is the essence of the revolutionary new Strat-o-bucker pickup. Which you will agree is a monumental invention in electric guitar pickup design.

Other notable features of this guitar is its Semi-Hollow design, thus lightweight, Ebony fingerboard and real pearl dots, with Aluminum side dots.

Something you will find hard to get from any guitar manufacturer, is the materials and the design of its construction.
Try it. Ask your beloved Gibson or Fender to make you such a guitar and see how they either run for the hills or charge you the ownership to your home.

This guitar has a 1 piece Butternut body and a solid Walnut top, with a matching 1 piece quarter-sawn Walnut neck and Ebony fingerboard with pearl dots. It also has the correct vintage Gibson scale length, perfectly placed and reachable knobs and overall one-of-a-kind uniqueness. Only the few of us left in the world who can actually build a guitar by hand, can offer you these features. We are keeping human skill and ingenuity alive, while there is a real attack on humanity in operation.

Forget about Gibson, Fender and all the other CNC frauds out there. They are for the non-player toddler, not for actual players or anyone knowledgeable about guitars to be capable of appreciating an organic instrument. These CNC mass producers are resting on the laurels of previous companies by the same names, who established the design of the electric guitar and also built them by hand.

So, if you are NOT a player, then go for the big name-brand imposters or the smaller brand frauds; neither will make a difference.

However, if you are a player, this should be your guitar.Â
