InspirationÂ
This guitar was inspired by the wood I had and a further exploration of the MagPoleBucker pickups I invented. The nice piece Walnut wood was not wide enough for the body, so I found another piece of Walnut to insert in the center to widen the body blank. I also had this interesting 2-piece book-matched Sycamore top, which would match up well with the Walnut body.Â
I wound a set of MagPoleBucker pickups, which are half Gibson and half Fender in design. The mini-switch turns either pickup from single coil to humbucker mode. This results in both Gibson humbucker or Fender single coil tones.Â
The light and dark theme is achieved with the light colored top in contrast with the all black hardware and Ebony fingerboard.Â
